Company and Position Summary

Senderra offers comprehensive disease state management programs for Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Osteoporosis and Multiple Sclerosis. The Manager of Payer Access and Relations is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining payer relationships; negotiating and finalizing payer agreements and renewals; growing established Senderra Rx accounts, and building corresponding revenue and market share growth. The Manager of Payer Access and Relations works closely with top level management including VP of Managed Care, President, Chief Clinical Officer, Sr. VP of Operations, Sr. VP of Sales, VP of Finance and IT and reporting team to carry out payer objectives. The primary objective of this position is to promote and improve the overall financial performance of Senderra Rx by developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with commercial payers and effectively managing all aspects of the managed care contracting processes.

Responsibilities

New Business:

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with commercial payers to promote collaborative and interest-based negotiations.
  • Works with payers to identify payer needs and clinical requirements.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the development and implementation of large group and individual presentations for targeted payer customers that contribute to the growth of business revenue.
  • Fulfill payer RFPs and RFIs for Senderra’s access.
  • Exhibits an ability to understand and negotiate add-ons and carve-ins to new and existing contracts, to ensure the most optimal reimbursement agreement is in place.
  • Works with Chairman of Senderra Rx to continually develop a list of target managed care accounts based on incoming patient base.

Analysis & Market Research:

  • Monitors the marketplace and recommends new and creative business opportunities.
  • Analyzes managed care market trends to identify cost savings opportunities to increase the value of Senderra Rx clinical offering to payer clients.
  • Works with Chief Clinical Officer to develop new clinical offerings.

General:

  • Reports to the VP of Managed Care of Senderra Rx.
  • Manages Manager of Managed Care Strategies.
  • Develops managed care team including hiring and training members needed to meet the objectives of Senderra Rx’ managed care initiatives.
  • Represents Senderra Rx at Managed care related conferences and forums.
  • Position requires frequent travel that will require overnight stays. Travel demands will be determined by business needs. Travel time is estimated at 30%.

Qualification

  • At least 3-4 yrs pharmaceutical experience, the rest can be within the healthcare industry
  • Role Level - mid-senior level
  • Good to have - good sales background or Payer/contracting experience
