Payer Account Specialist

 

Position Overview:

Responsible for performing daily PBM account management activities to ensure successful implementation and ongoing performance. 

 

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Manager of Payer Accounts and Audits

Positions reporting to this position: None

Department: Managed Care 

Location: Dallas, TX

 

Education / Licensing Requirements:

Pharmacy Technician and PTCB Certification required. 

 

Experience Requirements:

1-2 years' specialty pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to day-to-day inquiries and service issues, analysis the issue and

  • provides a resolution.

  • Processes claims and assists members with copay enrollment, copay processing

  • and copay reporting to the payers.

  • Facilitates new members onboarding to Senderra.

  • Received or initiates drug access inquiries, pricing and addition of the drugs to the

  • contracts.

  • Compiles data requested by the payer to support payer issue inquiries.

  • Supplies Senderra drug access information and services available.

  • Investigates and resolves payer reimbursement issues.

  • Participates in staff meetings, conference calls, and other meetings, as needed.

  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required. 

 

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment.

  • Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.

  • Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).

  • Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time. Requires sitting, bending.

  • Requires normal finger dexterity for keyboarding.

  • Works effectively with frequent interruptions.

  • Lifting requirements of 15 pounds occasionally.

  • Minimal travel <10%.
