Director of Clinical Services

Position Overview:

The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for leading and managing critical functions within Senderra, ensuring clinical excellence and optimal patient outcomes. This role encompasses data and reporting, training, program development, and leadership. The Director of Clinical Services will develop and enhance outcomes and value reporting, leveraging in-house systems to identify patient outcomes and highlight the pharmacy's impact on healthcare costs through improved therapy adherence, waste mitigation, and education.

The Director of Clinical Services oversees the development of clinical and non-clinical training programs, ensuring they cover key clinical outcomes and performance. This includes directing the clinical training program development for the organization and the ADE Training Programs for non-clinicians. In program development, the Director of Clinical Services is responsible for developing programs, ensuring they meet contractual obligations, and configuring these programs within the clinical documentation systems. The role involves maintaining accountability for clinical decisions affecting patients and ensuring the appropriateness of all recommendations.

As a leader, the Director of Clinical Services will provide motivation and guidance to the Clinical Services team, maintain effective communication with cross-functional departments, and support clinical services, operational efficiencies, and manufacturer programs. The Director of Clinical Services will also present clinical and business attributes that differentiate the organization in the market, elevate the visibility of program setup and value, and foster business relationships with manufacturers, payers, vendors, and partners. Additionally, the Director of Clinical Services will develop and present drug pipeline reporting on specialty products,

participate in professional pharmacy organizations, and contribute to quarterly business review presentations while leading system development improvements and performing other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

 

· Data & Reporting:

  • Develop and enhance outcomes and value reporting.
  • Leverage in-house systems to identify patient outcomes and elevate visibility on reducing healthcare costs through improved therapy adherence, waste mitigation, and education.
  • Lead and enhance outcomes reporting.

 

· Training:

  • Oversee the development of clinical and non-clinical training programs for new hires and annual training.
  • Ensure training programs cover key clinical outcomes and operational performance.
  • Direct the clinical training program development for the organization.
  • Direct the ADE Training Programs for non-clinicians.

 

· Program Development:

  • Develop programs that meet clinical and manufacturer requirements
  • Ensure programs meet contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for the configuration of clinical programs.
  • Ensure clinical documentation systems are up-to-date and efficient.
  • Provide oversight for clinical decision-making aspects of programs.
  • Maintain accountability for clinical decisions affecting patients and ensure the appropriateness of all recommendations.
  • Ensure management programs link appropriately with patients.

 

· Leadership:

  • Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to Clinical Services team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional departments to support clinical services, operational efficiencies, and manufacturer programs.
  • Presenting clinical and business attributes that differentiate Senderra in the market.
  • Elevate the visibility of program setup and value throughout the organization.
  • Foster business relationships with manufacturers, payers, vendors, and other partners that align with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Consult with senior leadership on specific pharmacy issues related to business, resource allocation, accreditation, and compliance.
  • Presents at industry trade shows to elevate the market awareness of Senderra’s programs to manufacturers and payers.

 

· Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present drug pipeline reporting on core and non-core specialty products, focusing on new opportunities and expansion.

  • Participate in professional pharmacy organizations that align with organizational goals and mission.
  • Serve as a participating member of the Clinical Review and Quality Management Committee, representing clinical services.
  • Participate in quarterly business review presentations focusing on clinical and reporting.
  • Provide insights on organizational operations and efficiencies from reporting and workflow design.
  • Lead system development improvements with cross-functional department buy-in.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment.

  • Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time. Requires sitting, bending.
  • Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
