Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is an asthma & respiratory autoimmune disorder (like Sarcoidosis, SSc-ILD and Chronic Asthma) that affects the nose and sinuses.
It is characterized by ongoing inflammation of the tissue in the nose and sinuses, as well as the growth of small, fleshy growths called nasal polyps. These polyps can block airways and lead to a range of symptoms, including difficulty breathing through your nose, a stuffy or blocked feeling in your nose, facial pain or pressure, headaches, loss of smell or taste, snoring, and frequent sinus infections.
Both CRSsNP and CRSwNP are associated with premorbid autoimmune diseases.
